NOTE: Mother’s Day (United States) is Sunday, May 13th
You heard that right… Mother’s Day is quickly approaching and you’ve completely forgotten. What’s worse is that you probably forgot last year too and want to make it up to that special lady in your life this year. Well, don’t fret! You’ve still got a few weeks, but that doesn’t mean you procrastinate until the night before. Here is a gift guide (with links- hello… how much easier does it get?) that will for sure please that special lady in your life that you’ve been meaning to celebrate. And while most mothers want a clean house, laundry to be washed and folded, and even an assistant to help out with work- some mothers, aka: ME, want a more sentimental product that can be held in hand. It is my main love language so here goes… this is my Mother’s Day 2018 Gift Guide.
Magnolia Table: A Collection of Recipes for Gathering by Joanna Gaines
I don’t know one single soul who’s never heard of Fixer Upper or can’t picture who Joanna Gaines is when I say her name. I’ve been in love with Fixer Upper since season 1 and was sad to hear that the show came to an end recently. Chip and Joanna Gaines have definitely made a name for themselves and have shown the world that with hard work and determination, you can achieve your dreams. Recently, Joanna Gaines cookbook was released and I’ve been itching to get myself a copy. I’ve tried two of her recipes (from her Magnolia magazine) and have enjoyed them. So, I know I’ll enjoy recipes from her cookbook. If you’ve got a lady who likes to cook or loves Fixer Upper, then she would love this book in her collection.
Adidas Originals Women’s Pureboost Xpose
I’ve been searching for a good pair of running shoes so when baby #4 arrives, I’ll be set already and be ready to kick my butt back into gear. I’ve heard great reviews about this shoe and it’s so pretty as well that you can wear it leisurely too. If you have a lady who’s been needing a new pair of workout shoes or a lady who’s been needing motivation to work out, here is a gift that she’ll appreciate. (This is number one on my list)
A Full length large mirror
I’ve been using a dinky mirror from Walmart for a couple of years now and have been on the hunt for a nice quality full length mirror. All the ones I’ve seen and liked at TJMaxx were immediately snatched so I never have much luck around here. So, I started searching online and have found quite a few potentials. Also, I like adding mirrors to a living space to add more dimension and texture.
I love decorating my spaces with unique art prints from all over I can find them, especially on the internet. There is just so much undiscovered talent out there and I just want to be the first to have a piece of it. I really like these fashion illustration prints from HNIllustration on Etsy.com for it’s soft and pretty colors. So if that special Mom of yours is looking for something pretty to hang up on the walls then check out the amazing talent on Etsy.com. You’ll be surprised just like me!
This is a no-brainer and should also be considered during Mother’s Day, not just Valentine’s Day. To make it extra special or meaningful, have it engraved. I love this layering necklace from TieAKnotJewellery on Etsy. I’ve been into dainty jewelry lately and you don’t see this style too often. It can also be custom engraved so look into that option as well when purchasing this. Make sure you place your order ahead of Mother’s Day to ensure you’ll get it in time especially since this shop ships from Australia.
A beautiful bouquet of fresh flowers from Farmgirl Flowers
If you’re constantly on Instagram like me, then there’s a chance that you’ve seen beautiful photos of these even more beautiful flower arrangements. I like receiving flower arrangements even when I know they’re not going to last a long time, but to receive one from a company that I admire for their ethically grown and honestly transparent business makes it all the more special. And look at this bundle that’s being offered right now- a bouquet of tulips AND a box of macarons. Oui! Oui! I love this!
Packing Cubes for those who travel often
When it comes to packing for a road trip or a mini vacation, I am the one that does all the packing while my husband does all the loading. This system has worked for us as a family of five and I’m sure it’ll continue working once baby #4 arrives. I’ve developed a pretty good system now when it comes to packing that involves packing outfits into labeled ziplock bags. But sometimes, those ziplock bags are such an eyesore! I want something more appealing to the eyes and easy to carry with handles and easy to close with a zipper. There are many options for packing cubes. Just search for “packing cubes” in Amazon you’ll be able to view and compare thousands of them. I plan to use these for the kids too when we go on our big family road trip next year to Glacier National Park. I’ll be sure to do a review on these!
So if you’re reading this and have some items on your wishlist, let me know in the comments and I’ll be sure to check it out. I love seeing what other Mothers look forward to receiving from their loved ones.
